FLOCON(R), INC. Wins Northeastern Illinois Region-Wide Award

Woodstock, Ill. – March 3, 2023 – FLOCON(R), INC., a manufacturer of paint markers, fine mist sprayers, soap and lotion pumps and trigger sprayers, was awarded the Pro-Chicagoland Decisions Award by World Business Chicago, the City of Chicago’s economic development agency.
The inaugural recognition “honors companies that have made bold moves to advance their businesses while also supporting growth and innovation in the seven-county Chicagoland region.”
Stephan Ballot, the company’s chief operating officer, received the award at an event held March 2, 2023 at The Terminal in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago.
“This award is a wonderful honor. We’re proud to say that we’ve been based in and committed to the Chicago area since our inception in 1989. Chicago’s right in the center of it all when it comes to our supply base and logistics needs,” Ballot said. “That incredible access to so much industry talent, services and infrastructure is one of the reasons why we have been so successful in producing industry-standard products in the USA. That includes our paint applicator, our FloMist® fine mist sprayers, as well as our ability to offer turn-key services that include blister carding and fluid filling.”
FLOCON, INC. continues to annually commit and invest seven-figure dollar amounts across its five facilities in the Greater Chicago Area, including the ongoing addition of state-of-the-art electric plastic injection molding presses and fluid filling lines, Ballot said.
“We're also contributing to our local school and trade communities. We’re involved in introducing the next generation to manufacturing, including a new pilot program that gives teachers a first-hand view of what happens in a modern manufacturing facility," Ballot said. “And where possible, we choose to hire local independent trade businesses because it helps them grow, which spreads economic impact deeper into the areas where we have facilities.”
